Kings chambers boasts a dedicated team specialising in representing properly interested persons at coroners inquests. The team draws on experience gathered from many different areas, such as public law, clinical negligence, military and aircraft cases and road traffic accidents, to offer representation at inquests to all sides – whether it be the bereaved families, the responsible actors or the regulatory bodies .
In recent years the team have acted for the following clients, NHS and the professional bodies representing GP’s and other doctors, The ministry of Defence, The prison service and private prison contractors, Care homes, insurance companies, self-insured companies, local authorities. In respect of military inquests, the team have acted for the families in the Nimrod XV230, ‘Snatch’ Land Rover and Lynx helicopter crash Inquests, each of which involved multiple fatalities. There is a particular emphasis on aircraft related deaths.
