AREAS OF EXPERTISE:
Mark joined Kings Chambers in September 2019, completing his pupillage in planning law under the supervision of Sarah Reid, Antony Gill and Jonathan Easton.
Mark is developing a practice across all areas of planning, highways and licensing and has taken an active interest in Local Authority and infrastructure work. He has assisted at large public enquiries, has experience defending applications for judicial review and has been involved with enforcement proceedings.
Recently, Mark has advised on the Government’s call-in procedures and represented a private client in an enforcement and s78 appeal hearing which concerned highway safety and the planning merits of renewable fuels.
Before joining chambers, Mark completed an engineering degree before qualifying as a teacher and investment manager. Mark enjoys drawing upon his engineering and commercial background when dealing with technical planning matters.
