Eleanor has developed a strong and diverse Commercial and Chancery Practice focusing principally on the areas of insolvency and corporate restructuring, property (both real and commercial) and dispute resolution.
Eleanor was recommended as Up and Coming on the North Eastern Circuit for Restructuring/Insolvency in Chambers & Partners UK for both 2013 and 2014 and in 2015 was described by Chambers & Partners UK as “one of the Northern Circuit’s rising stars” in Chancery work.

Eleanor accepts instructions in relation to company law and company related disputes including shareholder disputes; share and asset purchase agreements; directors' and employees' duties (including confidential information and data protection) and winding-up.
Eleanor's practice incorporates all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency and restructuring (for office holders and individuals/companies), including administrations, voluntary arrangements, liquidations, bankruptcy, wrongful and fraudulent trading, misfeasance, preferences, transactions at an undervalue and directors' disqualification.
Eleanor also undertakes partnership and LLP work especially concerning professional practices such as solicitors, accountants and chartered surveyors and professional negligence arising from the same.
Eleanor has a significant property practice which includes all contentious aspects of real estate including; all aspects of registered and unregistered land including, trusts of land including co-ownership, restrictive covenants, boundaries, easements and adverse possession, proprietary estoppel; property joint ventures, contracts for the sale of land and conveyancing disputes; residential, commercial and agricultural landlord and tenant including forfeiture, lease renewal under the 1954 Act and dilapidations claims.
