For many years Andrew had a broad common law practice including undertaking substantial amounts of town and country planning work and public law cases. He now principally focuses his efforts in the fields of costs and litigation funding, credit hire litigation and serious injury litigation.
He has a national practice in all these fields and has an established reputation both in the professional directories and the legal profession as an expert in his areas of practice. He is known as a problem solver, and has particular expertise in the field of civil procedure.

Andrew has considerable expertise in costs and litigation funding work. This includes undertaking detailed assessments, arguments on points of law and drafting retainers and other documents. He is also well known for his expertise on the aligned areas of law relating to solicitors including professional negligence disputes concerning costs matters, the law applicable to litigation funders, the regulation of claims management companies and consumer and regulatory law.

Andrew has worked for more than 20 years in the field of credit hire and accepts instructions from both claims handling organisations and insurance companies. He maintains a strong trial practice, is regularly instructed in appeals and undertakes drafting and advisory work in respect of credit hire agreements and terms and conditions.

Since pupillage Andrew has always worked in the field of personal injury work. At the current time his work includes catastrophic personal injury claims, fatal accidents claims, and large value industrial disease claims including mesothelioma and other asbestos related conditions. He accepts instructions both on behalf of injured people and insurance companies.
