Aidan Reay, instructed by CG Professional, has succeeded in obtaining judgment for the claimant and the dismissal of a £500,000 counterclaim following a trial in the Liverpool County Court.
The claimant, a drinks canning and manufacturing company, brought a claim in respect of an unpaid invoice. The claim was defended, including by way of set-off and a counterclaim for £500,000 in damages, arising from the defendant’s allegation that many hundreds of thousands of cans of energy drink were defective.
The case was heard over four days, with Recorder Hinchcliffe KC granting judgment for the claimant and dismissing the counterclaim in its entirety.
