Profile

Richard has a keen interest in Clinical and Dental Negligence and is rapidly developing his practice in this area.

Richard practises in all aspects of fast track and multi-track personal injury work including public and employers' liability and road traffic litigation. He is regularly instructed in cases where the value exceeds £50,000.

He has developed a substantial reputation in the field of industrial disease and is regularly instructed by Claimants and Defendants alike in claims involving asbestos related conditions (pleural plaques, pleural thickening, asbestosis, mesothelioma), asthma, back injuries, beat knee, chemical exposure (COSHH claims), carpal tunnel syndrome, hand arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), noise induced hearing loss (NIHL), occupational stress, upper limb disorders, tenosynovitis,  dermatitis and repetitive strain injuries.

Richard frequently acts for both Claimants and Defendants in road traffic litigation where fraud and low velocity impacts are alleged.

Richard has a growing experience and interest in claims arising out of military service acting both on behalf of individual service personnel - or their dependants - and the Ministry of Defence.

Richard is happy to undertake CPD accredited seminars in all of these practice areas. He is well known for his rapid return of paperwork and for his positive approach to accepting the CFA risk in litigation
