Profile:
Nicholas specialises in Employment and Industrial Relations Law and practises as a member of the Employment team in Chambers. He has a particular interest in the application of employment law in the context of sport.
Recent instructions include:
- Drafting the contract of the head coach of a Super League Rugby League franchise
- Representing a Premiership Rugby Union player in his claim for breach of contract against a Championship Rugby Union team to whom he had sought to transfer
- Representing the defence coach of a Premiership Rugby Union team in his claim for wrongful dismissal as a result of the early termination of his contract
- Representing the Football in the Community Development Officer of a Premier League football team in his claim for unfair dismissal
- Advising a junior player contracted to a Championship football club as to the compensation payable to that club if the player moved to a leading Serie A club.
