Educated at University of Newcastle upon Tyne, LLB
Called to the Bar: 2000 Middle Temple,


Instructions accepted in the following areas

Commercial disputes: including the resolution of contractual disputes between participants in professional sport such as clubs, players, agents and sponsors.
Company and trusts aspects of wealth management including the protection of rights and assets.
Disciplinary proceedings.
Challenging the decisions of sport regulatory bodies through arbitration/court.
Breach of confidentiality and breach of privacy including injunctions against newspapers.

 
Notable Cases

(X v Y ) - acting for one of the largest sports agencies in the country. A dispute between football agents in respect of a premiership transfer involving allegations of "switching" and breaches of The FA Regulations

Re a debtor - a dispute between an agent and a premiership footballer regarding transfer fees

Shaw v API and Ferguson LTL 11 June 2008 - alleged breach of confidentiality and fraud

Ultraframe (UK) Ltd v Fielding & Ors [2005] EWHC 1638 (Ch) - major company law case involving allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty
