Environmental
In the area of environmental law, Jonathan advises and acts in relation statutory nuisances under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, both in the Magistrates Court and Crown Court, with particular experience of noise nuisance. He also advises and acts in relation to Pollution Prevention and Control.
Public Sector Housing
In the field of public sector housing, Jonathan has advised and appeared for local authorities, housing associations and tenants in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. He has expertise in relation to anti-social behaviour obtaining injunctions under s.152 of The Housing Act 1996 and anti-social behaviour orders in the Magistrate's Courts.
On Disrepair, Jonathan has advised, lectured and provided representation on all aspects of Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Defective Premises Act 1972.
In relation to homelessness, he has conducted section 204 Housing Act 1996 appeals in the County Court, together with regular appearances in the Administrative Court resisting applications for judicial review.
