Martin Budworth was appointed by Sport Resolutions as the external adjudicator on the controversial Olympics selection decision by GB Taekwondo, to guide and advise the governing body on the process and applicable criteria following an athlete's appeal which caused the decision to be remitted to be taken afresh.

Following the completion of the process the British Olympic Association issued the following statement, "After a thorough review, the panel is now sufficiently satisfied that the agreed selection procedures have been followed, and it is on that basis we are ratifying the nomination."
