Objectives
The objectives of Kings Sport Network are as follows:
- To provide regular CPD accredited seminars on relevant and topical issues in Sports Law affecting stakeholders;
- To increase understanding of the challenges, issues and changing needs facing stakeholders in sport;
- To provide a regular forum for discussion and debate for stakeholders in sport.
Criteria for membership
The criteria for free but non-transferable membership of Kings Sport Network is that the prospective member has an existing involvement in the sports sector including the provision of professional services thereto.
Programme
The programme of seminars for the following year will begin at 5pm on Monday 17th October 2011 with Dr Nicholas Braslavsky QC, Head of Chambers, giving a talk on UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations. The seminar will be held at a location in Manchester City Centre - exact venue to be confirmed.
The programme will continue over the following months with: - Anti-doping rules: overview and hot topics
- Compensation payable on transfer of players
- Disciplinary proceedings and supervisory jurisdiction
- Agents in sport: regulation and liabilities
Each seminar will be followed by a drinks reception.
Membership
