Fiona Ashworth’s article in the Solicitor’s Journal highlights the problems of failing to recognise the evolution of the chronic pain cases in the portal system.

She writes that Fibromyalgia and all chronic pain conditions can be overlooked and settled too easily resulting in the claimaints being undercompensated and the lawyers facing professional negligence actions.

Personal injury practitioners need to be aware that minor injuries can morph into chronic pain cases attracting substantial damages.
