Civil Costs: Law and Practice

We are pleased to announce that Mark Friston’s textbook Civil Costs: Law and Practice
is now on the shelves. It has taken four years to write, during which time Dr Friston has spent about 4,000 hours either drafting or researching it. It is intended for all species of lawyer, not just costs practitioners. Here is what the blogs and reviews are saying:

  • Legal Costs Blog (Simon Gibbs): “It is simply head-and-shoulders above any other costs book on the market ... this book will become the Bible of the legal costs world.”

  • Professor Dominic Regan : “Is brilliant; buy it. I always check books by thinking of some obscure but important point and seeing if it is in the index. Reader, it is!”
  • Costs Lawyer (Murray Heining): “It is a work that should find its place near to every civil litigator and judge. It is a work that will never be far from my side. I cannot recommend this work too highly.”

Further details can be found in those reviews or here . It costs £75 from the publisher (Jordans ) and can also be ordered on Amazon for just under £70.
