Kings trekkers raise over £1000 for charity
14 July 2011
A team of enthusiastic walkers from Kings Chambers has raised over £1000 for the charity Action Medical Research by completing the gruelling 40 mile Chalkland Way PLOD.
Neil Berragan, Louis Doyle, Ben Harding and Gary Young completed the overnight walk on 8th July in a time of 15 hours and 40 minutes, bringing them in at an impressive fourth place out of 25 participating teams. The team and support driver Andy Reeves were grateful for the loan of a vehicle from Farnell Land Rover in Leeds, which enabled them to pick up food and drinks (and blister plasters!) along the way.
Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide medical research charity dedicated to helping babies and children, committed to finding and funding the very best medical research to help stop suffering caused by disease and disability.
Well done to all who took part!
