Kings Chambers Charity Golf Day
29 September 2011

Our inaugural charity golf day at Worsley Park was blessed by unseasonal excellent weather and a host of teams from as far afield as Birmingham. Competition was keen with some impressive scores being posted, the greens and fairways beautifully manicured, banter plentiful, tales of woe aplenty. A great day was enjoyed by all. Particularly pleasing was the Clerks' team not coming in last!
A big thank you to all who joined us and our sponsors in helping us to raise a tremendous total of £4,200 for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Our support of this worthy charity means that the hospital can provide additional support to patients and their families, providing resources that make life a little easier when they are facing prolonged stays in hospital or frequent visits.
Since 2009 the hospital has been home to state-of-the-art facilities that have been designed with its young patients very much in mind. Although based in Manchester, the hospital is a region-wide facility and sees over 135,000 patients every year. The hospital is a centre of excellence for bone marrow transplantation, burns treatment and critical care.
