Judicial Appointment

Chambers are delighted to announce that Her Majesty The Queen has appointed Nigel Bird to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke QC MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester County Court with effect from Wednesday 27 July 2011.

All in chambers wish Nigel our very warmest wishes in his new role and his presence and camaraderie in chambers will be sorely missed by us all.
