Court of Appeal bowls out retail challenge

The Court of Appeal has dismissed the appeal against the High Court’s refusal to quash the grant of planning permission to Tesco and Lancashire County Cricket Club jointly for a large foodstore and regeneration of the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. The regeneration scheme is intended to bring Old Trafford up to the required standard to hold international matches.
