Jonathan is regularly instructed on behalf of claimants and defendants in relation to actions involving architects, surveyors, solicitors and others. In addition, a fair proportion of Johnny's construction practice has a professional negligence element, whether in the main action or in an associated part 20 claim. Examples of recent work include actions against a project manager, quantity surveyors, contract administrators, solicitors in relation to a commercial property transaction, and architects in relation to a substantial development in Belfast.

Since being called to the bar in 2007, Jonathan has developed a broad experience across the spectrum of commercial dispute resolution. He has appeared as sole counsel in multi-day trials and heavy applications in the High Court; has regularly appeared in arbitrations and adjudications and upon the enforcement of resulting awards, both at home and abroad; and has served as part of a counsel team in several multi-week trials, both in the English High Court and in the Commercial Court of the British Virgin islands.
Jonathan is authorised to accept public access cases in appropriate circumstances.
Jonathan recently appeared in Amey v Cumbria County Council ( EWHC 2856 (TCC)), a four-month trial in the TCC
