Profile

James was called to the Bar in 2015, and accepts instructions in all areas of contentious and non-contentious Chancery and Commercial practice. He appears regularly in the County Court and High Court on matters within these practice areas.

Before joining Kings in 2016, James completed his pupillage at a top tier family law chambers in London. James’ supervisors, and other members of chambers, were often involved in multi-million pound divorces involving complex issues arising from family assets held by trusts and companies. James has developed a particular interest and experience in the interaction between the Family Court/High Court Family Division and related company/trusts issues. James’ experience encompasses cases in the Family Court, High Court Family Division, County Court, and High Court Chancery Division.

Prior to being called to the Bar, James worked as a paralegal to the Senior Partner of a multi-disciplinary solicitors firm in Manchester.

James achieved a Double First Class Honours in Law at Downing College, University of Cambridge, where he was awarded several scholarships for his performance in examinations.
