Contribution to the legal profession
Members of Kings invariably contribute to the continuity of the Bar. Some examples of this are highlighted below;
Nicholas Braslavsky QC is an Honorary Lecturer in the University of Manchester Law School. He has strong links with members of staff and students at the Law School. He piloted a course on Advocacy and the Law for undergraduate students in years 2 and 3 in 2010 and 2012. The course is now expanded and has become a module on the undergraduate LL.B programme.
Nick is also involved in advocacy training for students in the Law School and has involved Kings in sponsoring the annual mooting competition and in assisting with the Law Centra attached to the School of Law.
Andrew Grantham is the chairman for the Northern Circuit Commercial Bar Association . David Casement QC is the British chairman for the British Irish Commercial Bar Association, Marcus Daly SC the Irish chairman and Andrew Singer is the Treasurer. Lesley Anderson QC is the chairman of the Northern Chancery Bar Association. Nigel Poole QC is a chair of the Bar Tribunal and Adjudication Service Panel. Dr Mark Friston is the Chairman of the Bar Council Conditional Fee Agreement Committee.
