Renewable Energy

 

Bringing forward renewable energy proposals presents one of the greatest challenges to the present generation. Members of chambers have been involved in some of the most important cases involving such projects across the UK.

Members have been at the forefront of advising upon major renewable schemes in order to meet what is said by Government to be this Generations biggest challenge. Areas of interest include:

• Energy from Waste;
• wind energy;
• biomass schemes;
• solar energy; 
• domestic and commercial renewable projects

Members of Chambers have been involved in very many of the major windfarm cases throughout the UK, in some of the most sensitive landscapes. Important cases include:

Tynedale windfarms, Wandylaw

Middlemoor, Moorsyde, Toft Hill, Berrier Hill, Newlands Farm, Fewcott

Chambers are also heavily involved in advising upon other renewable projects such as biomass, Energy from Waste and tidal projects.

There is a particular expertise in advising from the outset of a project prior to the determination of an application, for example upon the environmental statement, and members have a reputation for being able to progress schemes which are ultimately consented.
