Group Litigation

 

Members who specialise in this area of work have had extensive involvement in the creation, running and winding down of a number of group litigation schemes including the toxic sofa litigation, British Coal Respiratory and Vibration schemes, miner's knee litigation to name but a few.

This gives them the ideal perspective to advise upon when a Group Litigation Order (GLO) is in the interest of a defendant or number of defendants with potentially similar liabilities, the best form in which that scheme can be operated and how to maximise legal efficiency so as to see the greatest flow of claims through any such GLO or scheme in as short a time as will be permitted by the Judge in control.

They have also appeared as advocates within the scheme hearing and reporting days.
