Mediation and ADR

Kings Chambers’ Employment team recognises the polarising effect of litigation and the obvious dangers that it poses to an ongoing employment relationship. Further it recognises the cost of litigation and that it can be something of a blunt instrument in seeking to resolve complicated workplace disputes. Thus as a team we are committed to exploring all avenues of ADR and mediation.

The team includes members who are qualified as CEDR mediators with experience in a wide range of commercial dispute mediations. Further members of the team appear in mediations (both judicially through the auspices of the Employment Tribunal or alternatively by a commercial mediator) in employment disputes of all kinds.  Members of the team have appeared in judicial mediations involving discrimination claims with damages sought in excess of a six figure sum through to a international commercial mediation involving a clerk to an overseas local authority seeking damages in excess of £1 million.

Instructions are accepted on a direct access and direct professional access basis.
