Simon is a member of the Kings Chambers Employment and Personal Injury teams.
Simon appears regularly before Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. He has considerable experience of dealing with all matter of employment litigation including unfair and wrongful dismissal claims, equal pay claims, unlawful discrimination claims and TUPE claims and has acted for both Claimants and Respondents.
He is also experienced in dealing with employment related litigation in the civil courts, including restrictive covenant claims, notice claims etc.
Prior to joining Chambers in 2002, Simon had assisted the UK Government (Department for Education and Employment) in negotiating the EU Employment Framework Directive and on implementation of the same.
Simon has extensive experience in acting for both Claimants and Defendants in connection with all aspects of personal injury litigation including road traffic accidents, employers' liability and disease cases, occupiers' liability and Highways Act cases and defective products cases.
Aside from personal injury matters, he is also experienced in dealing with credit hire litigation and has appeared regularly at coroners' inquests representing the interests of family and insurers. He has considerable experience of dealing with professional negligence claims involving solicitors, particularly those arising from personal injury litigation.
