Shokat has specialised in Personal Injury and associated Professional Negligence work for at least 15 years. He undertakes a broad range of work acting for both Claimants and Defendants in all types of claims. He has long and considerable experience in all courts up to, and including, the Court of Appeal, giving him an excellent grounding in advocacy. Other career details:

Shokat was formerly a College Lecturer. He regularly provides seminars and training sessions for specialised departments within individual law firms and medical practitioners with interest in medico-legal work. In recent months he has given seminars on the subjects of low velocity impacts, occupiers` liability, minimising and maximising damages and credit hire law. In November 2006, he was one of the main speakers at the TCC medico-legal conference held at Warwick Castle.
