Paul practises in the areas of town and country planning, environmental law, Local Government Law, highway law, the law of compulsory purchase and compensation.
Paul has undertaken work for a wide range of private sector organisations including a number of major house builders, most national convenience retailers and mineral and waste operators. He has been involved in the promotion of a number of major development proposals.
He has also acted for many local authorities across the UK, as well as a number of Government Agencies and departments including advice to the Highways Agency, GCHQ and Defence Estates on major development proposals.
He has been involved in a number of cases involving Compulsory Purchase both at inquiry and at the Lands Tribunal, having extensively advised on the Pathfinder proposals in the North West.
He regularly appears in the High Court in both Judicial Review cases as well as Statutory challenges.
