Helen practises in clinical negligence & personal injury. Helen has a growing following among clinical negligence solicitors and undertakes a wide variety of clinical negligence work. She has experience of cases of gynaecological injury, birth injury, orthopaedic injury, psychiatric injury and cases of clinical negligence involving children and protected parties.
She has a specialist interest in those cases which impact upon the rights of children and protected parties, and is often concerned with the interface between clinical negligence and mental health.
Helen frequently represents at inquests and is familiar with, and adept at handling, the coronial process. She accepts instructions in Article 2 compliant inquests.
As a personal injury practitioner, Helen has extensive experience in conducting complex personal injury litigation in her own right. She has also acted as Junior on a number of cases involving catastrophic injury or complex matters of law.
Helen specialises in cases involving brain injury, and cases of multiple serious injuries. Her involvement in brain injury cases has led to a particular interest in capacity and the Court of Protection
Helen also undertakes disease work with special interest in mesothelioma cases.
Helen acts for both Claimant and Defendant and accepts instructions from publicly funded clients and under conditional fee arrangements.
She remains an excellent courtroom performer.
