Profile:

Francesca joined chambers on successful completion of pupillage in October 2005.  She currently practices as part of both the Common Law and Commercial teams, and has experience in all aspects of personal injury, including industrial deafness, together with consumer credit, sale of goods and bankruptcy.  Francesca also has a keen interest in clinical negligence.

Francesca recently appeared on behalf of a debt purchasing company seeking judgment in relation to an outstanding debt, in circumstances where the validity of the debt assignment was challenged on the basis of a lack of compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974.  Francesca was successful at first instance and at appeal, and is now involved with the Credit Services Association in considering the issues raised in this and similar litigation.
