Profile:

Christopher was called to the Bar in 1991 after reading History at Oxford. He practised at 8 King
Street Chambers in Manchester until joining King’s in 2008. His practice areas are as follows:

General personal injury evenly spread between Claimant and Defendant work.

He has handled his own cases with values up to £750,000 and has regularly been led in cases with values up to £5 million.

Christopher’s practice has included a substantial proportion of clinical negligence cases for Claimants and Defendants. He has represented doctors via the MPS and dentists via DPL for many years. Cases have included late diagnosis of fatal illnesses, failed sterilisation, failure to detect meningitis and failure to advise on drug side-effects.

Christopher  has  regularly been instructed by local authorities in and around Manchester in cases ranging from simple tripping claims (although in some cases involving widespread and co-ordinated fraud) to disease cases and cases dealing with very serious injuries. Over the years he has been instructed in over thirty fatal injury cases.

In his spare time Christopher likes to restore old houses and is a member of the Victorian society.
