Profile:
Andrew can rightly be regarded as the only true construction barrister on the Northern Circuit and is in the Technology & Construction Court almost on a daily basis. Andrew attracts a sizeable amount of work from throughout the North of England.
Andrew joined chambers in 1991 with the sole intention of developing a construction and associated professional negligence practice in the north. He joined the Northern Ireland Bar in 1997 having regularly received instructions from solicitors in the province. He became a member of the Institute of Arbitrators in 1999 and is on the TECBAR’s adjudicator’s panel. Andrew served on the TECBAR committee for 5 years from 2001. Andrew is also a trained mediator and has acted as Arbitrator and Adjudicator on several construction disputes.
His practice is almost exclusively in the Construction Law field. He also practices in Aviation Law and in Professional Disciplinary Tribunals. He was a GMC Legal Assessor for 3 years.
