R3 North West Women in Business Recovery Event  - Masked Ladies Lunch

Eleanor Temple of Kings Chambers and Chairwoman of the R3 North West Women in
Business Recovery Group, recently hosted the first of what is to become an annual


Ladies Lunch at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.   The event, a masked lunch held in
aid of the Lavender Trust,  was attended by 160 male and female insolvency practitioners,
solicitors, barristers, bankers and surveyors.

Frances Edmonds, who was recently voted by The Times the best female speaker in the United Kingdom, gave an after lunch speech.

Next year’s event will a have a “lookalike” theme and will be held at the Lowry Hotel on Friday 5th June 2009.

The "R3 Women's group" was founded in April 1996 due to considerable interest in the UK for the establishment of a group for women working in the fields of insolvency, business recovery and turnaround.

The R3 Women's group provides an extensive network through which women can share their experiences and provide mentoring and professional support.

Women's Group meetings are held regularly across England and Wales and provide excellent opportunities for professionals to debate, network and socialize across the UK.
