Planning
Kings Chambers has been providing excellence in Planning for over 50 years. Chambers was founded as a response to the 1948 Act by C N Glidewell, and has an unrivalled reputation for the highest standards of advice and advocacy.
Kings Chambers has produced some of the leading practitioners in the field of Planning. In recent years that has included figures of the eminence of Charles Cross, Sir Iain Glidewell (former Lord Justice of Appeal), HHJ Andrew Gilbart QC the Honorary Recorder of Manchester and most recently Frances Patterson QC, the Public Law Commissioner.
Members of Chambers have been involved with most of the major development projects in the North West of England, as well as many others nationwide. From the Retail Inquiry which led to the Trafford Centre, through to the Second Runway at Manchester Airport members of Chambers, and all manner of developments in between, members of Chambers are renowned as providing an excellent service to both the public and private sector.
There are presently four Queen's Counsel and over a dozen junior counsel who regularly act in planning cases. Together they have contributed to the recognition of Chambers as a pre-eminent Planning Set.
